Sending files via e-mail

Our production department address for files is: dropbox@boydfitz.com

Our e-mail size limit is around 10MB and e-mail with large attachments is usually delivered slower (it might take several hours to be delivered) than text only e-mail.

Spam filters may prevent some e-mail from being properly routed so a follow-up call is a good idea.

Sending files via FTP

Some web browsers allow you to upload a file to our FTP site.

Our FTP URL address is: ftp://ftp.boydfitz.com/incoming/

Our FTP URL address can be copied and pasted into your browser address bar. The new browser window will appear white or blank.

Then, either copy and paste

or some browsers allow for drag-and-drop into an open browser window.

(Please limit your file name to 8 letters and a 3 letter extension)
Be sure to notify us by e-mail or phone, 563-359-9010 that you sent a file by FTP.


Use an FTP program:
The server address is: ftp.boydfitz.com
Leave user ID blank- none is needed
Leave password blank - none is needed

Navigate to the incoming directory and upload your files.

Please note that our incoming directory is "blind" so you might not see you file listed after they have been uploaded.

Common errors incurred when trying to upload a file:

•trying to upload a folder with files inside. No folders please, just files. You may zip or stuff severals files if you wish.
•filenames with a forward or backward slash or that are longer than 8.3 characters.
•stopping and restarting an upload. The 2nd attempt will try to overwrite any partial file that started to upload. Rename your file and then upload the newly named file.
